Fuel Filler and Tank Internal Lines

Ray Precicomp supports component-level polymer routing solutions for fuel filler pipe assemblies and internal fuel-tank lines. These applications require careful attention to vehicle and tank packaging, fuel compatibility, interfaces and customer-defined functional requirements.

Fuel Filler Pipe Assemblies

Filler routing connects the filler-neck area to the fuel tank. Where the application permits, polymer tube solutions can provide packaging flexibility and corrosion-resistant routing. Geometry, construction and interfaces must be selected to suit the vehicle layout and the applicable customer requirements.

  • Routing between the filler neck and tank connection
  • Packaging around body structures and adjacent components
  • Interface compatibility with specified fittings, hoses or connectors
  • Fitment and assembly sequence

Fuel Tank Internal Lines

Internal tank lines route fluid within the tank and may interface with valves or other tank components. The line geometry and interfaces must be developed around the tank package and the functional requirements defined by the customer.

  • In-tank routing and connection interfaces
  • Integration considerations for tank components such as FLVV or ROV where specified
  • Retention and fitment within the available tank envelope
  • Customer-defined functional and validation requirements

Material and Construction Considerations

Material and tube construction depend on the fuel, permeation requirements, temperature, pressure, tank environment and customer specification. Multilayer barrier constructions may be considered where required by the application. Final material suitability should be confirmed against the relevant supplier data and OEM requirements.

Development Support

Ray Precicomp can support drawing review, routing feasibility discussions, component-level assembly development and fitment feedback. Our role is to work with customer engineering teams on the tube assembly scope and interfaces.
