Material and Tube Construction Options
The right tube material and construction depend on the application’s fluid, operating conditions, routing geometry, permeability targets and customer specifications. Ray Precicomp supports material and construction discussions as part of component development.

PA11
May be considered for applications requiring flexibility and chemical resistance, subject to the selected grade and application specification.
PA12
May be considered for selected fuel, SCR/urea and pneumatic routing applications where its properties meet the defined requirements.
PA6 / PA66
May be considered for selected pneumatic, air-suspension, HVAC or coolant-return applications where the material grade is suitable.
Multilayer Barrier Tubes
Multilayer constructions, including polymer/barrier/polymer combinations, may be required where permeability or fuel-barrier performance is a design priority.
Material Selection Checklist
- Fluid and chemical compatibility
- Operating and transient temperature
- Pressure or vacuum requirements
- Permeability and emissions requirements
- Tube dimensions, bend radius and package constraints
- Connector compatibility and validation plan
Important Note
This page describes general material families, not a blanket approval for any specific use. The exact grade, dimensions and application suitability must be confirmed against customer specifications and supplier data.
